He affirms that they are receiving very good ratings from other potential customers to whom samples have been sent and he therefore hopes that the growth of this product may be important in this region. In fact, contacts have already been established with Dubai and it is hoped that a second container of olives can be sent very soon.
Among different varieties produced by the company from Antequera, Fernando Chicón explained that the one known Aceituna de la Abuela has been very well received by customers.
As for destination of these first table olives that have already been sent, they wil be destined to attend the demand of different distributions of the Arab country and will also be introduced in the market chain Manolo SuperMarket, that also took to its stores several varieties of molletes of Antequera.
Meanwhile, Jacobo Florido, the deputy responsible for Sabor a Málaga, said that “it is a step forward in exports of Sabor a Málaga to Arabia and the Middle East while praising the work done by these companies that are responsible for opening international markets to local companies, noting that thanks to agreements with these large supermarkets our small and medium producers can export.”
As for future markets, Florido pointed out that efforts are already being made to start working with South America.
On this way, it will be the second company from Antequera to export to the countries of the Gulf by means of the agreements signed by a Sabor a Málaga, from with Molletes San Roque also benefited, although on its case it had to develop a special atmosphere for the shipment of the molletes by plane to Saudi Arabia. So that on this way all the qualities of this bread could be conserved intact after being baked and packed for transport abroad.
